In the short story "A Day as a Venting Toy," the protagonist, a stuffed animal named Teddy, wakes up to find himself in a child's room. Throughout the day, various emotions and frustrations from the child are expressed through Teddy. From anger at not getting their favorite cereal for breakfast to sadness about losing a toy, Teddy becomes a outlet for all of these pent-up feelings.
